If I am a convention worker, why am I told I must get a construction 10-hour card from my union?

There is no State requirement that workers must complete the courses from the Unions. The requirement is that the employees must obtain the training and cards. While both the construction and general industry training will meet the requirement for conventions, please confirm with your employer which card you will need to obtain.
